Elements Of Art Come and play! This year we’ll focus on some important elements of art & design: texture, color, pattern, line, shape, and space. Students will experience a wide range of media, as well as art history while creating fun, open ended pieces of art. Finished projects will include still life, landscape, portraiture and abstract. So wear your old clothes ‘cause you’ll probably get messy. And be sure to bring a smile! |

Drop Off and Pick Up: Please meet me on the front porch when dropping off and picking up. Please pay at the beginning of each class. Supplies: I supply all materials unless otherwise noted. Occasionally students bring in things for special projects. Smocks: Do not wear good clothes to art class. I provide smocks but in the summer kids are usually too hot to wear them. Some of the paints we use are not washable. Weather: Occasionally classes are held outdoors if the weather is nice. Let me know if you do not wish your child to go outside. Absences: If you have signed up but find that you can’t come, please let me know as soon as you can. I have a waiting list for other students who want to come. Lateness: Please understand that if you are late your child will miss instructions at the beginning of class and will not fully learn the lesson you are paying for. |
April has a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree and a Certificate in Early Childhood Education. She has been painting since 1988 and she's run her summer art classes for 17 years.
